He Huan Hua合欢花
Albiziae Flos · Albizia Flower · Silk Tree Flower
Overview
The silky flower of the silk tree — sweet, neutral, light and lightly aromatic. Where the bark is the stronger spirit-settler, the flower is the gentler one: it resolves constraint, lifts a flat mood and quiets the spirit for people who sleep badly because they cannot put the day down. It is often simply infused rather than decocted.

Cautions
Mild, with no marked toxicity at customary doses. It is a supporting herb: it does not replace psychiatric or psychological care, and persistent low mood, or any thought of self-harm, needs a clinician rather than a herb alone.
Contraindicated in pregnancy: Traditionally given cautiously in pregnancy, as with the bark — practitioner supervision required
