Yi Zhi Ren益智仁
Alpiniae Oxyphyllae Semen · Sharp-leaf Galangal Fruit · Alpinia Fruit
Overview
A small acrid, warm fruit that warms the Kidney and the Spleen at once, so a single herb covers frequent urination and bedwetting on one side and cold diarrhea with excessive drooling on the other. Salt-prepared it is guided into the Kidney channel and its urine-restraining action is stronger; the plain fruit leans more toward warming the middle burner.
