Contraindications

Not for acute dysentery while damp-heat still needs clearing, and not for purely hot or purely cold patterns — the entire design assumes the two are mixed. The formula contains prepared aconite, which must be correctly processed and prepared and is dispensed only by a qualified practitioner; it is not a self-selected remedy.

For licensed practitioners’ reference only — not a self-treatment guide.

Pregnancy

Avoid in pregnancy. It contains prepared aconitetogether with hot acrid Hua Jiao and Gui Zhi, all of which are withheld in pregnancy; if a comparable pattern arises while pregnant it is a matter for a specialist prescription, not for this pill.
